I was hit with a 1-2 punch of pneumonia and a second round of chemotherapy. I've learned that sometimes, you don't get a real break, and that succeeding is being able to make the best of the best - and sometimes, least bad - times. My goal is to figure out how to regain my strength even while I'm fighting, rather than just while I have a break to recover. Sorry for not updating in a while, everybody - It's hard to stay positive while you're feeling bad, but I promise I'll be back and stronger than ever very soon!
You're doing an extraordinary job, Justin...I'm going to be with you all the time. :)
Hi Justin, so happy you've found energy to write again! It's 11:00 PM
Justin,Kaori summed it up perfectly - you've certainly been an inspiration to me and to many. It's been very tough but YOU have to keep positive and keep fighting. We are all kicking that purple blob for you. I wished I could give you a big hug....... Laura
Just-Just, please don't feel bad. You've already been really strong and brave through these 2 months. We are always praying for you and asking for His healing hand to be upon you. Please stay strong, have faith in Him and keep smiling. Smiling really helps :) :) :) :) Sending all our love
It is just amazing that you can keep so positive, and we all understand how difficult it can be! Your strength is there, and will always be, deep inside you, coming from the source, your soul, it is the awareness that will remain after all tough times, and it is your conciousness and appreciation of the present moment what is keeping you awake & positive.... don't miss it! don't let it get lost in the battle! Like in the storms, the sea looks very rough in the surface, but deep down the ocean is and has always been calm, by being in that quietness part, we can realize who we really are. You are great Justin!
Justin-I am so happy to read your latest blog. Often the cure is much worse than the illness even when the illness itself is bad enough. So when you feel really bad believe that part of it is caused by the chemo and medication etc and if those were withdrawn you would feel automatically stronger. We are all with you in spirit and send you our love, A Ellie and U Selwyn
Hi Justin, you are really brave and positive. We could not control what happen to us but what we could control is our mind and faith. Have faith and be happy is the best way to regain strength.
Dearest Justin, we are so glad to read your latest blog - an indication that you were feeling stronger physically to write. Hang in there and have faith that you will be well and feel stronger soon. You are indeed an inspiration to us. We are constantly praying for God's miraculous healing on you. He is walking with you through the storm. God will calm the storm. We pray that you will have better appetite. Stay positive. May God be with you always.Love, Gu Ma Betty
You better get some strength back, because I'll be in Hartford next weekend and I plan on visiting you!http://www.hulu.com/watch/184577/saturday-night-live-moms-on-facebook
..making the best of the least bad times... that's a great gift to have. Like being able to find a tiny gold nugget in a huge steaming heap of dung! I imagine it's rough and tough for your mother too right now - I hope you will both be able to find the gold nuggets together. Just when you think things can't possibly get any worse, and they do, congratulate yourself that once again you've hit gold, because you have somehow found the strength to fight on.Much love, Ellen
Thinking of you Justin!
