Back to Life!

Authored by Justin Yuen on Sep 10th 2010, 21:35

I've been out for a long while - didn't realize how long I've been here. My body is just beginning to regain its strength, and today is the first day that I've started to feel a bit of normal life again (back at the computer). Since my last post, I've been in and out of the ICU, in and out of consciousness. (Will detail these events at a later post - stay focused on the positive for now!). I've gone from barely being able to brush my own teeth to doing 75 squats today! Well, half-Squats while holding onto a walker, but compared to not being able to walk, that's pretty in shape. Two days before, I couldn't walk ten feet without feeling light-headed. Of course, my current state is due to the fact that I've gotten a blood transfusion to replace my red blood cell count. It's good to know at least that my body still has strength in it!

Justin - That is great to hear you feel stronger. Keep it up - sounds like you have a great attitude and support of all your family in CT and all your friends around the world. Hope you're receiving great care as well!Wynne

Just-just, we miss you so much. Waking up and reading such a positive post has made my day. It is wonderful to hear that you're doing well today. Being able to do 75 squats is amazing. You're so brave and strong!! We've been keeping you in our prayers. God is amazing and He listens to our prayers. He is with you as you fight this battle so have faith in Him. This Bible verse came into my mind"You answer me and encourage me by giving me the strength I need" Keep it up and stay strong!

I don't think I can even do 10 half squats - take it easy and keep up your amazing attitude. As Edlyn mentioned above, I feel so great after reading your posts this morning. It's like going on a diet and loosing all the weight this morning without having to lift a finger!!!!! Thank you!!!! :)
