It's been just three days out of the ICU, and I've been lucky enough to be able to see both my best friend Sami and Kaori, the love of my life, who both came to visit me from New York. I really couldn't be happier, which is no doubt speeding up my recovery. I took my first timid steps today (just walked back and forth about 5 feet twice, but that's a significant improvement over not being able to stand, for sure!).
I'm trying to gradually write to all of you; really can't wait to get in touch! It feels like I'm running on a quarter tank of gas here, though, so it takes a while. Thanks again for all your support! The smile you all put on my face is what's pulling me through this. We're winning this fight, by the way :)

Justin you are so amazing! Leonardo and I are glad you are back on your blog. We were in regular contact with your Dad and were kept up to date on your experiences in the ICU which sounded terrible. I thought you were very polite in your blog. So, you have improved since the days you told your Dad not to come by school once he became bald. In any case, I think he has more hair than you do now! Your daily updates which I hope you can maintain are such a wonderful source of inspiration and pride. I am sure your Parents and sister are incredibly proud of your spirit, positive attitude and strength which you no doubt inherited from them, but are taking to a whole new level each and every moment of every day. Your Dad is so excited to be coming to see you and you are in our prayers every day and every night with the wish that you will come back to HK soon so Leonardo can be reminded who told him to eat over his plate....he is telling stories now and every now and then looks intently at your photos.
